There are little ones and big ones...daily, weekly, yearly, and lifetime goals - you get the picture...we all have some sort of goals in mind. There are specific goals - "I will run 30 miles this week."  And there are abstract ones too - "my goal is to achieve success in life."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But whether big or small, tangible or abstract, achieving your goals requires thought, a plan, and action. This seems to be something of a stumbling block for a lot of people. Sure, it is easy to wake up in the morning and proclaim for all to hear "my goal is to _____." But actually getting there is another thing altogether.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;exactly&lt;/span&gt; do you plan to do to arrive at your goal? Without a clearly defined set of steps and time frame, you will more than likely let your goals slip away. An example that we run across all the time with TBB is the goal of Diamond Coach: The "My goal is to get to Diamond!" pretty much echoes throughout the community. It's a great goal to have...really, it is. And it is within your reach if you set a plan in motion.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Achieving your goal starts by figuring out exactly what it is you will need to do - and how long it will take - to get there. Do you want to get to diamond in a month? Well...you can do it. This means you will have to talk to a lot of people, but even more that that...you will have to set a strategy - you will have to do specific daily tasks (i.e. share TBB with xx people, follow up with xx people, etc).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you are not quite sure how to plan all this out in a systematic way, talk to the diamonds in your upline, they will fill you in on what worked and what didn't. But what is most important....YOU have to stick to YOUR plan every day (and of course, adjust if necessary. If talking to five new people every day isn't doing the trick....talk to six - and so on). Attack your plan with gusto my friends - after all, this is your life we are talking about :)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now...have you started yet? We have been watching those Facebook and blog threads, and we have been noticing a few things. One that comes to mind is this sort of recurring theme of "bummerness." You know...the total downers that complain about everything, blame everything else for their lack of success, in short, just think that everything sucks, and if things were somehow different, everything would be fine.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;THESE PEOPLE ARE TOTAL DOWNERS.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Okay - we all have bad days, we all get cranky, we all run up against a wall from time to time. This is life...get used to it. But there is more than one way to handle crapola. One way, is to croak about it on Facebook. The other way is to keep it to yourself and make the best with what you have.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;People...you might want to write this down. We are in the business of helping others achieve success - in all kinds of ways. People who want success (the ones who have sense, anyway) seek out other successful people. Here is the real nugget. Have you ever noticed a successful person whining and complaining about how everything sucks?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you don't want to be all alone out there, wishing you had a supportive and happy crew around you, you had better knock it off with all the negative talk. Seriously, being a downer is a sure-fired way to chase people AWAY from you. They will find someone else to work with. So smile, put on a happy (virtual) face, make someone's day better, add a positive contribution to the world. Are you certain about that? You know, we hear this a lot from coaches and TI wants to take a minute...just to make sure. The typical scenario goes something like this: A coach signs up – check. Sets up their website – check. Puts their link on Facebook&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;and Twitter – check. Waits for a week or two for the sales to start rolling in – check. Gives up because after doing &lt;i&gt;everything&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: normal;font-size:100%;" &gt; it becomes clear that this Beachbody thing just doesn’t work – check.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;      &lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;      &lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;Sound familiar? Well guess what – if this is you the truth of the matter is that you have not really done anything yet. Think of it like this. There are tens of thousands of coaches out there who all have links, who all have access to great tools, who all stand to benefit from big time product recognition. Now the question is – why would someone want to work with YOU? Because you like fitness? Because you see results from the workouts? Peeps….so does everyone else.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;      &lt;div class="MsoNormal" style=""&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;            &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;      &lt;div class="MsoNormal" style=""&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;If you want to be successful with your business you &lt;i&gt;must&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: normal;font-size:100%;" &gt; stand out in the crowd. There is no other way around it. Now there is more than one way to do this – but…and this is key – you must talk to a lot of people. You must ask them to take action. Ask them to look at a 3rd party tool, sign up for a free membership through you or join you on your like page. Focus on building relationships and be willing to ask for what you want. It is imperative in this business. Period.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;      &lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;      &lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;If you think there are shortcuts, magic phrases, or any other guaranteed marketing gimmicks then you are destined to fail. You will not get rich over night – you will not get anything, really. The key is building relationships, talking to people, engaging the public (on social media or in person), and putting yourself out there. Some of the most successful coaches on this team have spent a lot of time building relationships with their customers – and they are reaping the rewards today.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;      &lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;      &lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;If you don’t really know who to talk to, just look around a little (hint – the people who talk about P90X on Twitter have been approached at least 1000 times – so maybe move on). Are there people out there with whom you have other common interests? I’ll bet there are – talk to them, let them know what you do, people will talk to you if you are genuine and interesting. Trust me on this one. If you are serious about building your business do you think it is better to&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt; &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;A) speak to 20 people 5 times or&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;B) speak to 100 people once?&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt; &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;If you answered A, then you ought to reconsider. Seriously - for those who are really working to build this business into something big, answer B is the way to go.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt; &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Friends and colleagues...if you plan on becoming successful as a marketer, then you MUST expose your business and products to a massive amount of people. It is a simple equation - the more people you speak with, the more chances you have to grow.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt; &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Think of it like this. Let's say you have a blog. On this blog you tell a wonderful story, offer brilliant insight, make valuable contributions, and provide a viable solution to peoples' problems. If no one is reading it - then who really cares?&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt; &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;At the risk of sounding like a broken record....to be effective, YOU NEED AN AUDIENCE!!!&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt; &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Of course, there is more than one way to get an audience. We like the idea of social media - easy access to millions and millions of people. But if you prefer the face to face approach, this can work too. Just keep in mind that you are going to be pretty busy pounding the pavement.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt; &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Our experience has taught us that if you continue to promote your business to the same small group of people over and over, you will become frustrated very quickly.
