If a coach speaks in the forest....

...and there is no one there listening, does it really matter at all?

Let's put it another way....here is a question for you. If you are serious about building your business do you think it is better to

A) speak to 20 people 5 times or
B) speak to 100 people once?

If you answered A, then you ought to reconsider. Seriously - for those who are really working to build this business into something big, answer B is the way to go.

Friends and colleagues...if you plan on becoming successful as a marketer, then you MUST expose your business and products to a massive amount of people. It is a simple equation - the more people you speak with, the more chances you have to grow.

Think of it like this. Let's say you have a blog. On this blog you tell a wonderful story, offer brilliant insight, make valuable contributions, and provide a viable solution to peoples' problems. If no one is reading it - then who really cares?

At the risk of sounding like a broken record....to be effective, YOU NEED AN AUDIENCE!!!

Of course, there is more than one way to get an audience. We like the idea of social media - easy access to millions and millions of people. But if you prefer the face to face approach, this can work too. Just keep in mind that you are going to be pretty busy pounding the pavement.

Our experience has taught us that if you continue to promote your business to the same small group of people over and over, you will become frustrated very quickly. You need to get yourself and your opportunity/product out there - the more exposure the better.

So if your business is not growing as fast as you would like it to, ask yourself this: how many NEW people did you reach out to today?

To your success,

What's holding you back?

How to become a total failure? We at Team Infinity are hoping that you aren't following these rules!! Well, if you are reading this - our guess is that success is what you are after. You are doing the right thing.

But in all seriousness - we have a question for you. Is the very idea of failure what keeps you from pursuing your goals? Some people might think that the fear of failure is one of the biggest fears out there.

But is that really the case? When you go out on a limb and try something new, something daring, something out of the ordinary or even risky...whatever it is, are you afraid of failing or are you afraid of what people around you will think?

Seth Godin has recently noted that the fear of failure is overrated as an excuse. It is really fear of blame and criticism that holds us back. Interesting. We are afraid that if we break away from mediocrity - from the ordinary - that people will hate it and call us on it.

"What on earth are you doing?" "That will never work!!" "Are you kidding me with this? That is a stupid idea!"

Sound familiar? Well, maybe it's time to get over it. The most successful people in the world got there because they had a new idea and pursued it. Sure, they ran up against roadblocks, challenges and naysayers. But they stuck it out.

TI encourages you to go for it. If you have an idea that you think will enhance your life, bring you fortune, or anything else - put it into motion. Think of it this way. The best ideas in the world don't amount to anything if they are not acted on.

To your success!
TI

A good nugget from Jim Rohn

Friends and colleagues!
This morning, Team Infinity coach Perry Tinsley sent this around and we thought it would be a good idea to share it here as well.

We have spoken in detail about how success comes from within...how tools - leadership, websites, products, and team momentum are all wonderfully great things to enhance your success, but unless YOU take action - all the tools in the world will amount to very little.

Below in italics are some words of wisdom from Jim Rohn:

Of all the things that can have an effect on your future, I believe personal growth is the greatest. We can talk about sales growth, profit growth, asset growth, but all of this probably will not happen without personal growth. It’s really the open door to it all. In fact I’d like to have you memorize a most important phrase. Here it is, “The major key to your better future is YOU.”

Let me repeat that. “The major key to your better future is YOU.” Put that someplace you can see it every day, in the bathroom, in the kitchen, at the office, anywhere where you can see it every day. The major key to your better future is YOU. Try to remember that every day you live and think about it. The major key is YOU.

Now, there are many things that will help your better future. If you belong to a strong, dynamic, progressive company, that would help. If the company has good products, good services that you are proud of, that would certainly help. If there were good sales aids, that would help, good training would certainly help. If there is strong leadership, that will certainly help. All of these things will help, and of course, if it doesn’t storm, that will help. If your car doesn’t break down, that will help. If the kids don’t get sick, that will help. If the neighbors stay halfway civil, that will help. If your relatives don’t bug you, that will help. If it isn’t too cold, if it isn’t too hot, all those things will help your better future. And if prices don’t go much higher and if taxes don’t get much heavier, that will help. And if the economy stays stable, those things will all help. We could go on and on with the list; but remember this, the list of things that I’ve just covered and many more - all put together - play a minor role in your better future.

The major key to your better future is you. Lock your mind onto that. This is a super important point to remember. The major key is you. A friend of mine has always answered when asked, “How do you develop an above-average income?” He says, “Simple. Become an above-average person. Work on you.” My friend says, “Develop an above-average handshake.” He says, “A lot of people want to be successful, and they don’t even work on their handshake. As easy as that would be to start, they let it slide. They don’t understand.” My friend says, “Develop an above- average smile. Develop an above-average excitement. Develop an above-average dedication. Develop an above-average interest in other people.” He says, “To have more, become more.” Remember; work harder on yourself than you do on your job. For a long time in my life, I didn’t have this figured out.

Strangely enough, with two different people in the same company one may earn an extra $100 a month, and the other may earn a $1,000. What could possibly be the difference? If the products were the same, if the training was the same, if they both had the same literature, the same tools. If they both had the same teacher, the same compensation plan, if they both attended the same meetings, why would one person earn the $100 per month and the other person earn the $1000?
Remember here is the difference...the difference is personal, inside, not outside, inside.

You see the real difference is inside you. In fact, the difference IS you. Someone once said, “The magic is not in the products. The magic is not in the literature. The magic is not in the film. There isn’t a magic meeting, but the magic that makes things better is inside you, and personal growth makes this magic work for you.

The magic is in believing. The magic is in daring. The magic is in trying. The real magic is in persevering. The magic is in accepting. It’s in working. The magic is in thinking. There is magic in a handshake. There is magic in a smile. There is magic in excitement and determination. There is real magic in compassion and caring and sharing. There is unusual magic in strong feeling and you see, all that comes from inside, not outside. So, the difference is inside you. The real difference is you. You are the major key to your better future.

So there you go - embrace these words, take them to heart. Success is yours.

time to get started!!

Have you heard the expression - jump off the ledge and build your wings on the way down? Well, I think it is pretty good advice. Sometimes we spend so much time planning out how we are going to take on the world and make zillions of dollars that we let all the opportunity pass us by. Our point - get started. Sure, you'll need to make some plans....but don't let planning get in the way of doing.

We can tell you from experience, you can plan and plan and plan but unless you DO...nothing at all will happen. Nothing, nada, zip. We think it is a really good idea to try things out. See what works and what doesn't - fine tune your plans as you go.

Indeed - you are going to need to jump and build your wings on the way down - that is the only way to succeed and come out ahead (and not a big splat on the ground). Get started right now - try something out, see how it goes - be consistent with what you do and make adjustments until you get the results you want.

Seriously - you better get busy!!

To your success,

You're a Product of Your Environment!

It's pretty simple really. If you want to be happy, successful and positive you need to surround yourself with happy, successful and positive people! The phrase "misery loves company" is no joke. If you are constantly hanging out with downers they are going to drag you down to their level. It justifies their own misery which is pretty freakin sad. Don't let this happen to you!

In order to grow in your business you need to grow as a person. By surrounding yourself with positive, committed and supportive people you only stand to reach your goals that much faster! People tend to become a product of their environment so why not seek out those you would most like to be like? Conversely, the truth is you may also need to cut people out of your life that are emotional drains, people who pull you down instead of lifting you up. This is not always an easy decision to make but can be necessary for you to reach for your full potential.

Check out what Turbo Queen and motivational master, Chalene Johnson has to say on the subject:

So here at TI we encourage you to start TODAY! Take a good look at who you are spending the bulk of your time with. Do they empower you to be the best that you can be or do they encourage you to hang on to negative thought patterns? It's your choice!!

For more insight on how to achieve the life you've always wanted for yourself we STRONGLY urge you to check out The Success Principles by Jack Canfield. That book has seriously changed our lives for the better!!! We trust that it will do the same for you :)

To you success!!

Be engaging

Friends and colleagues,
One of the first questions people ask when they are getting started with a network marketing career is "what is the best way to build my team?"
Of course, the answer is..."build relationships."

But while this may be easy to say, it may not be so easy to do, especially for people just starting out. Well, thankfully, the Internet provides us with countless message boards that make reaching out to literally millions of people fairly straight forward. But a quick look at many of these boards reveals what could very well be one of the most detrimental mistakes of marketing online.

Time and again you see examples of people posting a question or concern only to be answered by a network marketer with a "buy from me" response followed by a link.

This is not a particularly effective way to market your product or business.

Think of it like this. People who market in this manner are not engaging in a conversation, they are not building a relationship, they are not offering anything really, other than a link to a website. When was the last time activity like this prompted you to make a purchase? Essentially, they are thinking in the short term.

When you join a particular forum you are joining a community of people who share common interests, have similar concerns or questions. They are not there to get hammered with links. So, we suggest you join in. Engage in conversations with people. Don't hide the fact that you are in business but be respectful at the same time. Offer something of value with no expectation of return.

Ultimately, you will become the person that people turn to when they want to know about your product or business opportunity. If you respect them, they will respect you. With patience, consistent and (valuable) contributions, you will build credibility and trust on nearly any forum.

Now - most forums have clearly stated rules when it comes to posting. Be sure to read them carefully. Many allow a link in your signature, if so...put one in. Just remember, people know when they are being pitched. Make yourself available...they will come to you.

To your success,
TI

Straight from the top

Friends and colleagues!!
Our fearless leader, Carl Daikeler, just posted this message on his blog and we at TI could not agree more. A lot of us use social media extensively to help promote our businesses. But there is a right way and an obnoxious way to do it. Let's stick with the right way. It will build integrity and credibility for you and will project a positive image for Team Infinity. If the team looks good...we all look good.

Read Carl's words...below in italics:

I spent the week on Twitter and Facebook learning from my "friends" how we can use these social networks to promote health and build the Beachbody Coach business. Though I see what all the buzz is about, I definitely see the pitfalls.

These sites are like a party. The last thing you want to do is walk into a party and yell “I am here to sell you products!” That type of behavior isn’t accepted at a party, and I doubt it’s any different online.

In the pursuit of expanding our coach network, prospecting makes sense to me. But I don't think “broadcasting” sales messages via the social networks of friends is the best approach.

We established the Beachbody Network so when you get healthy results you could profit when someone notices and asks “Wow, what are you doing?” That’s how you turn your hard work and behavior change into revenue. You become the proof that it works!

That model translates well to social media like MySpace, Facebook and Twitter, where friends connect, share updates, and care about each other. What the health crisis in our country needs is people helping people. So the best action to leverage social media is to share what you are doing to inspire others, to celebrate the success of your team, and to pay attention to what people are saying.

When you have results to report or a photo to post during your transformation, NOTHING will get people’s attention faster than saying "Check out my 90 days photos -- Unbelievable!"And that facilitates a two-way conversation. Social media and networking is about starting a conversation. It’s a dialogue. It’s the first time in the history of marketing where businesses big or small must get back to the basics of listening. Listening is what separates the good friends from the not so good. As I read in Stephen Baker's recent article in Business Week, the value of information within these social media networks has dropped to zero. What is valuable, is attention; getting it and giving it.

That's how network marketing beats mass marketing every time; People get to know each other, and help each other achieve their goals. That makes you a good friend, not the Internet’s version of a door-to-door salesman. When a friend of yours gets results they’ll want to share it with their immediate sphere of influence. And your business continues to grow because you added value to the equation. You didn't take - you gave a service.

And that friend to friend service is the point of this whole thing. People have proposed to me that they could explode our business by getting actor Ashton Kutcher to become a coach and leverage his visibility talking about P90X on Twitter. As exciting as it is when celebs buy our products and talk about them, we aren’t looking to simply make more sales through their endorsement. We want this movement toward a healthy lifestyle to transcend a cult of personality, so it gets woven into the very fabric of our culture again. It's not about Ashton. It's not about me. It's not about Tony, Chalene, Debbie or Shaun T. It's about you. It's about your friends. I want YOU to be the star of this success story. We want you to help people you are the closest to. We want it to be on a personal, human level.

It’s not about spamming. It’s about sharing, listening, acknowledging and helping.

I believe that approach will make you a valuable friend in the web 2.0 world, and that’s the kind of service to others that will build your personal network in a meaningful way. I'll see you on Twitter and Facebook and let's keep this party growing!

So there you go friends, straight from the top. If you have any questions about this, speak with your upline coach and be sure to join in on our weekly TI calls.

To your success!
